The San Francisco Deltas added three more players for the 2017 season with the additions of Brazilian Reiner Ferreira as well as American pair of Danny Szetela and Greg Jordan.

Ferreira, a defender who plays center back and left back, will play in the United States for the first time in a career that has seen the São Paulo native compete in Brazil, United Arab Emirates, Portugal, South Korea, and Turkey. He's featured for clubs such as Al-Wasl (UAE), Académica (Portugal), and, most recently, Adana Demirspor (Turkey).

"We wanted a left-footed center back with experience not only in his country but also abroad," Deltas coach Marc Dos Santos said. "He can play two different roles and has the experience we need."

Jordan, a center midfielder, was drafted with the 32nd pick in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft by the Philadelphia Union following a collegiate career at Creighton where he was named a Second Team All-American. He spent the previous three seasons in with Minnesota United, where he became a fan favorite.

"He's a fantastic midfielder with a great work ethic," Dos Santos said. "He's the type of player that always gives everything and has the right mentality for the full 90 minutes."

Szetela, another central midfielder, is no stranger to winning, nor adversity. In four seasons with the New York Cosmos, following a nearly three-year hiatus from professional soccer due to injury, Szetela helped guide them to three NASL titles. He has also represented the United States men's national team at every level, appearing in the U-17 World Championship, the U-20 World Cup, the 2008 Olympics and World Cup qualifying with the senior team.

"Danny brings passion and commitment to the field," Dos Santos said. "We want players like him to represent this club and city with a very high level of intensity and work ethic."
