  • Battleship Cup Soccer Tournament
    October 4th & 5th, 2003, in Mobile, Alabama. The tournament will be held on the grounds of Battleship Memorial Park on the western shore of beautiful Mobile Bay.  The tournament is sponsored by the Mobile Soccer Club and is designated as an official Mobile Tricentennial event. All players will receive a free pass to tour the World War II battleship U.S.S. Alabama, the submarine U.S.S. Drum, and the Aircraft Pavilion!   • Brine Winter Classic Tournament
         Soccer Blast in Birmingham is hosting the Brine Winter Indoor Classic Tournament January 18th - 20th.  The tournament is open to youth and adults. It is the Regional Qualifying Tournament to the National Indoor Championships held each year in the US. On the Adult side - it is also a sub-regional qualifier to the "Hyundai Cup 2002" (http://www.arenaleague.com).

  • 2004 Dothan Showdown Tournament
    Dothan, Alabama - September 25-26, 2003 - Westgate Recreation Complex.  The City of Dothan and the Dothan Youth Soccer Association will once again host the Dothan Showdown Soccer Tournament and we extend this invitation for your team to participate. This year’s tournament will be held in Dothan, Alabama at Westgate Park on September 25th & 26th, 2004. The Alabama Soccer Association (ASA), an affiliate of the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA) sanctions the tournament. USYSA affiliated teams are invited to participate.
    Team age brackets: U10 to U19, both boys and girls.
    Experience level: Division I (Advanced), Division II (Intermediate), and Division III/IV (Recreation) teams.
    Each team is guaranteed 3 matches.
    Trophies will be awarded to first and second place teams in each competitive division.

          Hoover Soccer Club is hosting the local tournament for “got milk” 3 V 3.  They are doing everything electronically this year including registration. It’s a great opportunity for small-sided games. For the U-10 and under teams they play festival style and each teams plays a minimum of 4 games, standings are not kept and everyone receives a participation award. It also gets very competitive in the competitive division and there are teams coming in from out of state.

  • Lakeshore Shootout High School Tournaments

             Scott Sweeney sokrizlyf@charter.net has put together a website for the Lakeshore Shootout Tournaments to be held next month at  www.lakeshoreshootout.com  This year the tournament will have both A and B divisions for boys and girls.  The games will be held at John Carroll, Spain Park and Hoover High Schools in the Birmingham area.
            Boys teams in the "A" bracket are: John Carroll, Indian Springs, Montgomery Academy, Huntsville, Randolph, Vestavia, Shades Valley, UMS-Wright, McGill-Toolen, Cullman, Oak Mountain, Hewitt-Trussville,  Hoover, Altamont, Fairhope, and Decatur.
            Boys teams in the "B" bracket are: Spain Park, Ft. Payne,  Bayside Academy; Minor, Pleasant Grove, Trinity, Holy Spirit and Thompson.
           Girls teams in the "A" bracket are: John Carroll, Central Tuscaloosa, Vestavia, Oak Mountain, Spain Park, Huntsville, Ft. Payne, Auburn, Hoover, Grissom, Fairhope, and Bob Jones.
           Girls teams in the "B" bracket are: Cullman, Montgomery Academy, Decatur, Indian Springs, Randolph, Gadsden, Thompson, Pleasant Grove, Bayside, Hillcrest, Sparkman, and Altamont.

The LA Invitational has the lowest fees of any tournament in the region. $225 for U10 (8v8) and $300 for U11-19. Our tourney is a great opportunity for your team to get some early season competition.     August 31st and September 1st 2002 - Welcome to the Vestavia Liberty Cup (formerly the Vestavia Classic Invitational). The new name reflects the addition of Division III teams to the tournament. Teams from Div I, II, and III can now compete in this tournament against teams of similar abilities. The tournament will divide teams based on age and level of ability into separate brackets to ensure the best level of competition possible for each bracket.
