Important 2003 Snickers Cup Dates and Information:

The 2003 Snicker's State Cup is scheduled for October 31st, November 1st and 2nd, 2003 in Huntsville.

Round Robin Format

No Preliminary Games

Due to the amount of games being played in the Snickers Cup on the weekend of October 31st � November 2nd, each team needs to be prepared to play a Friday night game.

Early Check-In Sports Blast in Birmingham

Wednesday, Oct. 29th from 5:30pm to 7pm in the AYSA Office

Thursday, Oct. 30th from 11:30am to 1:30pm in the AYSA Office

CHECK-IN HUNTSVILLE
Friday October 31st from 5:30pm to 7:00pm
John Hunt Fields 1 & 2 upstairs over the concession stand. Bring Medical release forms and Official USYSA player passes. Rosters will be provided at Check-In

SNICKERS CUP COACHES MEETING
There will be a mandatory coaches meeting on Friday October 31,2003 at 7:30 pm at the Jaycee building at the John Hunt Complex. Representatives can only represent one team as per Snickers State Cup Tournament manual Any team failing to have a representative at this meeting will forfeit their bond. Check your Tournament manual page 2 under Performance Bond

Teams wishing to participate in Snickers State Cup must abide by the roster freeze date of October 22, 2003. If changes in roster, all paperwork and money is due in office by this date.

Registration deadline for Snickers Cup is October 3rd, 2003.

2003 Division I Snickers State Cup Rules

The tournament is open to DI teams only that qualify from their bracket.

The top six teams qualify. For those teams not qualifying for Snickers due to their State League standings will be refunded their Snickers entry fee and may apply by October 28, 2003 to play in the DII tournament in their appropriate age bracket.

U-12 teams playing in DI are not eligible to play in Snicker Cup, they must play their own age in the DII State Cup.

Standings are closed on October 26, 2003.

Scheduling information must be sent to the referee assigner 1 week after the tournament application deadline date.

The deadline for the teams entering the 2003 Snickers Cup is TBA.

The cost is $400 per team.

About the Snickers State Cup Competition:
      Snicker's State Cup is the state qualifying tournament for the Snicker's Regional and National Championship Competitions for the United States Youth Soccer (USYS). Since 1978 these competitions have been the championships of the best youth soccer teams and clubs throughout the country.
      In Alabama we hold competitions for the age groups U-14 through U-19 in both boys and girls competition. The champion teams from Huntsville's State Cup will represent the State of Alabama on June 24th - June 29th, 2004 at the 2004 Southern Regional Championships in Austin, Texas. http://www.usysregion3.org
      The 2005 Regional Championships will be held June 23rd -28th, 2005 in Edmund, Oklahoma.
