The 25-year-old Cameroonian international comes to Minnesota after playing in France, Turkey, and making the Cameroonian final roster for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Ndjock was on trial with United during the preseason, playing in each of the team’s three friendly matches. His quick reactions and acrobatic style of play make him a formidable presence between the uprights.
The young goalkeeper made his professional debut for Lille II in 2007 after spending his youth in the Lille Academy. Making few appearances for the French side, Ndjock went to play for Antalyaspor in the TTF First League, Turkey’s second division, in 2010. The goalkeeper still played a backup role until being loaned to Fethiyespor for the 2013-2014 season, where he made 30 appearances for the club and posted four clean sheets.
Ndjock has become a part of the Cameroon National Team, making his international debut against Ukraine and helping his team earn a 0-0 draw. His other appearances with the team, and performances with Fethiyespor, earned him a spot on the 2014 World Cup roster.
2015: In his first season with the club, Ndjock proved to be one of the top goalkeepers in the league. His impressive range and shot-stopping ability kept Minnesota in many games. He was credited with 61 saves, kept seven clean sheets, and posted a 1.09 GAA on the year. He was honored on the Team of the Week twice.
