Mitch Hildebrant is in his third year with Minnesota United, signing on when the team was knows as Minnesota Stars FC. The Michigan native has been a backup for the past two seasons, but stepped into the starting role for the middle of the 2014 season when former teammate Matt VanOekel was injured during the final home match of the 2014 Spring Season.

Career

2015: Hildebrandt once again stepped up to the plate when needed in 2015. He performed well in two tough matchups in the Spring Season before starting five straight games in August after an injury knocked Sammy Ndjock out of the lineup. He made 24 saves and posted a 1.86 GAA and a 2-3-2 record.

2014: Mitch made nine appearances with eight starts in the 2014 season, putting in more time than his first two seasons combined. He posted two clean sheets in 2014 and appeared once on the NASL team of the week.

2012-2013: Signing on in April 2012, Mitch made his first professional debut and picked up a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw with the Tampa Bay Rowdies. This was one of three starts for the season. In 2013, Hildebrandt made two starts in the final games of 2013, both were wins.

2007-2012: Redshirted in 2007, Hildebrandt played his entire college career at Oakland University. During his career he was named to the All-Summit League first team twice and finished with 249 saves and 19 clean sheets. Mitch also spent time in the USL Premier Development League with the Kalamazoo Outrage and the Michigan Bucks.
