Before Miami FC: Steele played 12 seasons throughout the US soccer system ... He broke into the American soccer scene in 2004 when he signed with the USL’s Syracuse Salty Dogs ... His NASL career kicked off in 2010 when he joined the Vancouver Whitecaps ... Steele would go on to play three seasons in the MLS, playing for Real Salt Lake and the New York Red Bulls ... Steele was a regular starter for the Red Bulls, making 48 appearances alongside the great Thierry Henry ... Through the years Steele has been featured at almost every level of the Northern Ireland National Team, including three caps for the Northern Ireland Senior National Team.
