Indy Eleven announced the signing of midfielder Jason Plumhoff on May 5, 2017.

A German youth product, Plumhoff earned his stripes playing in the Bayern Munich youth system before swapping shirts to the SpVgg Unterhaching youth system. Relocating to Maryland, Plumhoff was a four-year player at La Salle University, where he was named Atlantic 10 Conference Offensive Player of the Year, Philadelphia Soccer 6 Player of the year, and was named to the NSCAA All-Region First Team in 2013.

Plumhoff signed his first professional contract with Harrisburg City Islands (USL) in 2015 and led the team in scoring with 10 goals in 22 appearances. Jumping to NASL side FC Edmonton the following year, Plumhoff scored one goal in six appearances for “the Eddies” before being traded to Jacksonville Armada FC. In the sunshine state, Plumhoff made five appearances before being sent out to Saint Louis FC (USL) on a four-week loan.

“When Ben and Don suffered their injuries, we had to use our available healthy players and it changed the way we played. We don’t have players that can replicate how those two perform. What we saw in Jason [Plumhoff] was a player that can play on both the right and the left side of midfield,” said Indy Eleven head coach Tim Hankinson. “He’s very good at running at players and getting behind the defense, and he has good quality in his crosses. We think that will bring back a dimension that we’ve been missing with the style that we play.

Spring 2016: Played six league games, including three starts, for FC Edmonton ... scored in the Eddies' 2-1 victory over NASL Spring Season champion New York (5/15/16) ... played 25 minutes as a sub in FC Edmonton's 2-0 victory over Ottawa Fury FC in the Amway Canadian Championship (5/18/16) Fall: Subbed in 62nd minute vs. PRFC, won free kick in 70th minute (7/9) … subbed in 57th minute at NYC (7/13) … started at Miami FC, won free kick in 61st minute, subbed out 67th minute (7/16) … subbed in 45th minute against OTT, won free kick in 63rd and 86th minute (7/23) … started at FLS, attempted in 26th minute, won free kick in 45+4 minute, subbed out in 45th minute (7/30).

2015: Led Harrisburg City Islanders (USL) with 10 goals in 22 appearances and 1,664 minutes of action.

2014-15: Played with Danish third division side FC Sydvest.
