Hagop Chirishian, 24, is a midfielder from Hollywood, Calif. Chirishian spent the last two seasons playing for USL teams Wilimgton Hammerheads and Ventura County Fusion. Chirishian went on trial with Real Salt Lake of the MLS but was not offered a contract. He signed with AC St. Louis of the USSF Division 2 Professional League, which was his first professional contract. He made his professional debut against the Portland Timbers on April 22, 2010. During his time at Pasadena City College, Chirishian played for Ventura County Fusion of the USL Premier Development League and helped them to the PDL championship in 2009.
Chirishian signed with the New York Cosmos before the 2013 NASL Fall Season. He made his Cosmos debut with a start on Nov. 24 in the Cosmos’ 2-1 victory over the San Antonio Scorpions, playing 64 minutes. Chirishian appeared in 10 games, seven starts, and saw 353 minutes of action in the Cosmos reboot season. The Cosmos announced in December 2013 that they had resigned Chirishian for the 2014 NASL season.
