2016: Strikers announced the re-signing of Blandon on 24 December, 2015 as one of the first four players to be announced for the 2016 season.
2015: The Strikers announced the signing of former Creighton University standout Christian Blandon on March 30, 2015. The 22-year-old midfielder signs his first professional contract with the Strikers.
Blandon made his professional debut and lone appearance for the Strikers as a stoppage-time substitute in the Fall Season opener at Carolina RailHawks on July 8.
College: Blandon attended Creighton University. During his college years, Blandon also played in the USL Premier Development League with VSI Tampa Bay and Ocala Stampede, helping the latter to a Southeastern Division Championship title.
Personal: Born in Cali, Colombia, Blandon moved to the United States as a child and grew up in Miami, where he played youth soccer and participated in U.S. Soccer’s Olympic Development Program.
