After coming up through the A.C. Milan youth academy and cutting his teeth in Italy’s lower divisions, Lambrughi signed with Serie B side Livorno in 2010. The left-back would become a fixture for Livorno, making 259 appearances over seven seasons of service.
Lambrughi was instrumental in Livorno’s promotion to Serie A in 2013, making 40 appearances including starts in all three promotion playoff matches. The club’s stint in the country’s top league would be short lived as they would move back to Serie B the following season.
Lambrughi would remain with Livorno for four more season, making nearly 100 appearances, before making the move stateside, joining the Miami FC.
