TEAM OF THE WEEK | Fall Season Week 8

Jacksonville's Ciarán Kilduff, New York's Ayoze, and Edmonton's Sainey Nyassi were among the stars in Week 8

The New York Cosmos and Jacksonville Armada FC matched up in Week 8 of the Fall Seasn and it was a game that brought plenty of drama. The teams split six goals and ultimately the points in a six-goal thriller. Jacksonville forward Ciarán Kilduff,shined with a pair of goals, while Ayoze helped lead the comeback for New York with a pair of assists. In Edmonton, Sainey Nyassi helped the Eddies climb in the Fall Season Standings with a goal in a win over Indy Eleven.

GK: Trevor Spangenberg (Puerto Rico FC) – He made three saves and kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw with North Carolina FC.

DEF: Lance Laing (North Carolina FC) – Making his 150th appearance in the NASL, helped North Carolina keep a clean sheet. He won all three of his tackles and won seven duels. He also created three chances and nearly scored, but his shot caromed off the post.

DEF: Albert Watson (FC Edmonton) – The center back made four clearances and won three duels and two tackles. The Eddies kept a clean sheet in the 2-0 win over Indy Eleven.

DEF: Kalen Ryden (Jacksonville Armada FC) – He had an assist and made seven clearances. He also won six duels in Jacksonville’s 3-3 draw with the New York Cosmos.

DEF: Nik Ledgerwood (FC Edmonton) – The Canadian international had an assist in Edmonton’s win. He also made four clearances, had three interceptions, and won three duels and two tackles.

MID: Sainey Nyassi (FC Edmonton) – The Gambian international scored the opening goal in victory over Indy Eleven. He also created three chances in the contest.

MID: Javi Márquez (New York Cosmos) – The veteran midfielder scored the first goal of the Cosmos’ comeback in the draw with Jacksonville. He also created three chances in the game.

MID: Ayoze (New York Cosmos) – He created five chances and picked up two assists – on the Cosmos’ last two goals of the game – against Armada FC.

FWD: Ciarán Kilduff (Jacksonville Armada FC) – The forward scored a pair of goals against New York.

FWD: Eamon Zayed (Indy Eleven) – He scored the game-winning goal against North Carolina FC in the 1-0 victory.

FWD: Eugene Starikov (New York Cosmos) – The forward scored for the Cosmos in the draw with Jacksonville.
