TEAM OF THE MONTH | August

Miami's Jaime Chávez, Puerto Rico's Conor Doyle, and Jacksonville's Jack Blake led the way in the recent month of action

Miami FC and Puerto Rico FC finished the month of August at the top of the table and had several players star during the month. Miami's Jaime Chávez and Puerto Rico's Conor Doyle took on the goalscoring mantle for their clubs to great success. Another player who led their team with goals was Jacksonville Armada FC's Jack Blake. All three players were named to the Team of the Month for August.

GK: Daniel Vega (Miami FC) – The Miami shot-stopper kept three clean sheets and made the most saves of any ‘keeper during August with 25. He also had a save percentage of 86.21 percent.

DEF: Patrick Hopkins (San Francisco Deltas) – The defender scored twice and made 26 clearances for the Deltas in August.

DEF: Abdoulaye Diakité (FC Edmonton) – He made the second most clearances (33) and was tied for the most blocks (9) in August. He also won 17 duels, made 13 clearances, and seven interceptions.

DEF: Rhett Bernstein (Miami FC) – The center back was third in clearances (27) and won 17 duels as well as five interceptions and three blocks. He was also a part of three clean sheets.

DEF: Pedro Galvao (FC Edmonton) – The fullback was second in duels won (25) by defenders in August as well as leading the league in interceptions (13).

MID: Jack Blake (Jacksonville Armada FC) – He scored four goals, including Jacksonville’s first hat trick in club history. The midfielder also showcased his defensive efforts as he was tied for the most tackles won (10) during the last month.

MID: Ariel Martínez (Miami FC) – The midfielder scored a goal as well as added two assists on game-winning goals for Miami.

MID: Giuseppe Gentile (Puerto Rico FC) – He scored one time in August as well as adding two assists during Puerto Rico’s strong run during the month.

FWD: Jaime Chávez (Miami FC) – The veteran forward stepped up for Miami with the club’s top scorers out due to injury. He scored three times as well as picking up two assists.

FWD: Conor Doyle (Puerto Rico FC) – He scored three goals for Puerto Rico and also created 14 chances, which was tied for the most in the month.

FWD: Tomi Ameobi (FC Edmonton) – The veteran forward scored and had two assists during August for the Eddies.
