The San Francisco Deltas have transferred Danny Cruz to Real Monarchs SLC for an undisclosed fee.

“Danny was always committed," Deltas coach Marc Dos Santos said. "A real professional who worked in every game and in every training session. This opportunity came up and it is important for him and his family to embrace it. It will be difficult to replace a player like him. We wish him the very best.”

Cruz started 12 of his 16 appearances for the Deltas on the wing, adding a goal and two assists in the process. His pass led Kyle Bekker for the Deltas’ first goal in club history on March 25 against Indy Eleven at Kezar Stadium.

“I am going to miss the guys in the Deltas locker room and the success we have had on the field in year one," Cruz said. "The staff and the players have truly felt like family from day one. I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to be here and I wish everyone within the organization nothing but the best in the future.”
