North Carolina FC was in the midst of a comeback against Puerto Rico FC after equalizing in the 73rd minute through Matt Fondy's header. Fondy would then turn provider to help seal a road win. Billy Schuler, who came on as a subsitute, met Fondy's cross with a volley to score the game-winning goal. Schuler has been picking up steam, scoring four goals in his last four games overall. All of his goals have now come from substitute appearances.
The win moved North Carolina FC into second place and earned Schuler Play of the Week honors. The goal can be seen above.
