FC Edmonton looked set to take a draw back to Clarke Stadium for the second leg in the Canadian Championship quarterfinal, but Ottawa Fury FC was able to find the back of the net in the dying moments of the match for a 1-0 win.

The Eddies had the best chances earlier in the contest when Dean Shiels' effort just before the halftime whistle when Fury FC goalkeeper Callum Irving was able to get enough on the ball to take it over the bar. Irving came up big once more in the 59th minute. He made a save on Tomi Ameboi's attempt before getting back in position to get deny Allan Zebie from point-blank range.

For the winner, the ball fell to Williams in the middle of the box after Eddies shot-stopper Tyson Farago came out to defend a cross. Williams then slotted the ball into the back of the net in the 90th minute.

The second leg kicks off at Clarke Stadium on May 10 with the winner moving on to the semifinals to face Toronto FC.
