The recent international fixture list saw 10 players feature for their national teams in World Cup or Gold Cup qualifers as well as friendlies. FC Edmonton's Nik Ledgerwood had a special moment, wearing the captain's armband in Canada's last match.
Here's how NASL players fared during the recent international play:
Richie Menjivar (New York Cosmos) – The midfielder started and played the full 90 minutes in the 1-1 draw with Curaçao.
Andrés Flores (New York Cosmos) – He started and played 78 minutes in El Salvador’s draw with Curaçao.
Irwin Herrera (New York Cosmos) – The forward started and played 89 minutes in El Salvador’s draw.
Kevan George (Jacksonville Armada FC) – He started and played the full 90 minutes in both of Trinidad & Tobago’s recent World Cup qualifiers. The side won, 1-0, against Panama before losing by the same scoreline to Mexico.
Steward Ceus (San Francisco Deltas) – The goalkeeper started in both of Haiti’s recent Gold Cup playoff matches. Les Grenadiers won the first match, 3-1, over Nicaragua, but fell, 3-0, to miss out on qualifying for the Gold Cup.
Mechack Jérôme (Jacksonville Armada FC) – He started and played the full 90 minutes in both of Haiti’s recent matches.
David Ochieng (New York Cosmos) – The defender started and played all 90 minutes in Kenya’s 2-1 friendly win over Congo DR.
Nik Ledgerwood (FC Edmonton) – The midfielder started and captained Canada for his 50th cap, playing the full 90 minutes in the 1-1 draw with Scotland.
Adam Straith (FC Edmonton) – He started and played the full match in Canada’s draw with Scotland.
Ben Fisk (FC Edmonton) – He played the final 12 minutes in Canada’s recent contest.
