Molano played abroad for Dinamo Zagreb U-19s in Croatia, then moved to Swedish side Bodens BK in 2011. He then went back to Croatia to play for NK Vrapce before returning for one last season with Bodens BK where he made eight appearances and notched two assists.

From 2014-2015, Molano played in his hometown for Dallas City FC (NPSL) before joining Swope Park Rangers in 2016.

Additionally, North Carolina FC announced it has mutually parted ways with defender Simon Mensing. Mensing appeared in 19 games last season for the club.
