The Tampa Bay Rowdies are hoping to be right where their Wednesday night opponent will be in November: the postseason. Tampa Bay (5W-7D-7L, 22 points Fall; 9-11-9, 38 Combined) showed resilience to dig out a point against Miami FC in Week 16 as Georgi Hristov added his 10th goal of the year and Joe Cole added his seventh assist on Juan Guerra’s game-tying goal. With a win, the Rowdies can move into a tie, on points, with both Rayo OKC and Minnesota United in fourth place in the Combined Standings. Working against the Rowdies, though, is history. In eight meetings against Indy Eleven, six of the games have ended in draws. In fact, Tampa Bay hasn’t defeated Indy since 2014, but the midweek game offers the perfect opportunity to buck that trend.

The Eleven (9-4-6, 31 Fall; 13-10-6, 49 Combined) picked up a momentum-boosting win at home against the Carolina RailHawks, emerging with a 3-0 victory. While the club has been in incredible form at Carroll Stadium in 2016, it hasn’t translated to its road matchups. Indy has just one win during its travels this year, but a victory in Tampa Bay would go a long way in bolstering the club’s confidence as the Fall Season slate winds down before The Championship, the league's four-team postseason tournament, begins.
