Rowdies Make Eric Avila Goal Stand Up

The first-half goal proved to be the winner for Tampa Bay

The Tampa Bay Rowdies ran its unbeaten streak to four games with the 1-0 win over the Carolina RailHawks at Al Lang Stadium on Saturday night. It was the second straight loss for Carolina.

Eric Avila scored the game’s opening goal, in the 22nd minute, to give Tampa Bay (4W-4D-6L, 16 points Fall; 8-8-8, 32 Combined) the lead. Darnell King dribbled to the end line and crossed to Avila who was open at the back post to fire into the Carolina (4-4-6, 16 Fall; 8-6-10, 30 Combined) goal.
