Indy Eleven and FC Edmonton remained tied on points at the top of the Fall Season Standings after picking up 1-0 wins. Keith Savage, who recently went over 100 games played for the Tampa Bay Rowdies, was honored by the home fans and scored a goal in a win over the team's main rival, the Fort Lauderdale Strikers.

After a thrilling Week 6, players and coaches reacted to all of the action:

Indy Eleven coach Tim Hankinson on Don Smart returning to form after his game-winning goal

“If you look at the Spring Season, we were lacking quality on our crosses. We believed in starting [Smart], and he had a series of games where he was a starter – it wasn’t in question – because he would provide service to reward the strikers. Then he had an injury and was out for quite a while, so it’s taken him some time to get back to 90-minute fitness. Even once you get your fitness back, it just takes time. Don has finally gotten back to his plateau, and that’s a good sign.”

Ottawa Fury FC coach Paul Dalglish on conceding in stoppage time

“We wanted to be patient tonight and wait for our chances which we did until the final play of the game. Overall it’s very frustrating to come so close and lose the point but now we have to learn from it and move on.”

FC Edmonton coach Colin Miller on Tomi Ameobi’s game-winner against Puerto Rico FC

“It was great to see big Tomi scoring his first of the season. I’m hoping that was the beginning of the season for him. We’ve showed great faith in him, we never doubted him. Fingers crossed Tomi got that one off his chest and hopefully he can continue to score goals for us.”

Tampa Bay Rowdies coach Stuart Campbell on returning to the win column

"I'm definitely pleased with the result. After two tough losses on the road, it's not going to be pretty. You want to come and win three or four-nil, but it's not like that. You've got to grind out a result. The players showed great character tonight. We asked for it before the match and they delivered."

Tampa Bay midfielder Keith Savage on his goal in the win against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers

"I was in the right place at the right time. The stars aligned and it was meant to be. I couldn't believe it came to me. It's fortunate because I just kind of stood there and it came right to my left foot. I'm thankful it went in."

Minnesota United coach Carl Craig on the home loss to Miami FC

"We have to be more diligent in terms of our system, we're not as free-flowing as we'd like to be. Ultimately against a quality side like that if we don't do our jobs we'll be punished and we did."

New York Cosmos coach Giovanni Savarese on earning a point against Rayo OKC

“We didn’t get the win and the full three points, but this is an important point accumulated in the Fall Season – every point counts. Of course we want to win games at home, but getting a point is certainly better than nothing.”

New York forward Lucky Mkosana on drawing a penalty kick

“It was a 1-on-1 situation, so I felt like I had to take him on. I took my chance and it worked out.”
