FC Edmonton (3W-1D-1L, 10 points) won its seventh straight home game on Wednesday, needing late drama to do so. The Eddies scored twice in the final 11 minutes against the New York Cosmos to claim a 2-1 victory. Nik Ledgerwood and Daryl Fordyce were on target for Edmonton in the win, while goalkeeper Matt VanOekel continues to be a key reason for the club’s recent success, making 13 saves over the last two games.

The Carolina RailHawks (2-1-2, 7) enter the game in Edmonton on the heels of a 2-0 loss to Ottawa Fury FC on Wednesday night. The RailHawks currently hold the record for most wins at home with nine, which was set back in 2011, and can play the role of spoiler at Clarke Field on Sunday.
