TEAM OF THE WEEK | Fall Season Week 4

Three players record double-assist games, while Miami FC's Jamie Chavez scored twice to headline the latest Team of the Week

Three players recorded multiple assists in Week 4 of the Fall Season with Carolina RailHawks; Tiyi Shipalane, Minnesota United's Ibson, and Ottawa Fury FC's Bryan Olivera all registerting two. Jamie Chavez hit the target twice for Miami FC.

The full Team of the Week can be found below: 

GK: Matt VanOekel (FC Edmonton) – The Eddies weren’t able to get the result they wanted on the road in a 1-0 loss to Indy Eleven, but VanOekel kept his team in the game throughout the 90 minutes. He made eight saves, several of the top-shelf variety.

DEF: Rudy Dawson (Puerto Rico FC) – Puerto Rico kept a shutout in its first ever win and Dawson was a big reason why. He won six duels and two tackles, while making six interceptions and having one clearance to slow down a red-hot Rayo OKC attack.

DEF: Lance Rozeboom (Ottawa Fury FC) – Filling in at center back, Rozeboom was sturdy to help keep a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Jacksonville Armada FC. He won five duels and two tackles and had two clearances and four interceptions.

DEF: Greg Janicki (Indy Eleven) – The central defender got his head to a Dylan Mares free kick and nodded home the lone goal of the game in a win over FC Edmonton. In defense, he won four duels and two tackles and had one clearance with three interceptions.

MID: Ibson (Minnesota United) – The Brazilian maestro racked up two assists, out of three chances created, in Minnesota’s 3-1 win over the Fort Lauderdale Strikers. Ibson completed 29 of his 32 passes and won six duels during his time on the field.

MID: Bryan Olivera (Ottawa Fury FC) – He created three chances, two of which yielded assists to create both of Ottawa’s goals in the win over Jacksonville. Olivera battled throughout the game in the midfield, winning seven of his 10 duels and two tackles.

MID: Tiyi Shipalane (Carolina RailHawks) – The dynamic midfielder chipped in with two assists in a wild 3-3 draw with Miami FC. Shipalane completed 17 of his 20 passes and created three overall chances in the game.

MID: Juan Arango (New York Cosmos) – The Venezuelan star scored a patented free kick with his curling effort that left Tampa Bay Rowdies goalkeeper Matt Pickens no chance to stop it. The goal helped New York to a point on the road.

MID: Keith Savage (Tampa Bay Rowdies) – Recently returning from injury, the veteran midfielder is returning to form. He was tidy in possession completing 44 of his 47 passes. He also helped cut the Cosmos’ lead when his pressure forced an own goal.

FWD: Jaime Chavez (Miami FC) – He scored twice in the draw against Carolina. His goals were the bookends for the scoring in the game, and his effort earned him Player of the Week honors.

FWD: Héctor Ramos (Puerto Rico FC) – The Puerto Rican international added another goal. His tally was the only one of the game to lead Puerto Rico to its first win. He also created two chances and completed 31 of his 37 passes.
