Indy Eleven’s 13-game unbeaten streak was snapped a weekend ago, but the club bounced back quickly and defeated FC Edmonton, 1-0, at Carroll Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

Dylan Mares’ dangerous free kick found the head of Indy (3W-1D-1L, 10 points) defender Greg Janicki to score the only goal of the game in the 13th minute. It was the second time Janicki scored against FC Edmonton, finding the back of the net in a 1-1 draw in the Fall Season.

FC Edmonton (2-1-1, 7) was without its regular center backs – Papé Diakité (red-card suspension) and Albert Watson (personal issues) – in the loss. It was only the Eddies’ second time suffering a defeat in 11 games.
