Christian Ramirez snatched all three points for Minnesota United with a 90th-minute goal for a 1-0 win over the New York Cosmos.

Playing a man down after Damion Lowe’s red card in the 53rd minute, the Loons (3W-0D-1L, 9 points) defeated the Cosmos for the first time in the head-to-head series between the sides (1-4-4).

Ramirez’s effort just slipped underneath Cosmos (2-0-2, 6) goalkeeper Jimmy Maurer for the lone goal of the match after being played through by Justin Davis.

New York has now lost back-to-back matches, conceding goals in the 90th minute or later in both.
