Puerto Rico Football Club proudly announced Friday that goalkeeper Austin Pack and midfielder Conor Agnew,  two players from the University of North Carolina Charlotte will join the club for its inaugural season.

A native of Alpharetta, Ga., Austin, 22, excelled at soccer power University of North Carolina Charlotte, including being named the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week twice in 2014. Pack recorded eight shutouts that year. He was an invite to the Puerto Rico FC Pro Combine in Florida and earned his first pro contract.

Agnew, 22, is an all-action midfielder who covers plenty of the pitch during 90 minutes. Like Austin, he played and excelled at UNCC.  He earned Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week on more than one occasion. He, too, was very impressive at the Puerto Rico FC Pro Combine and displayed good skill and great energy as well. Agnew is a versatile player and will be expected to force his way into the side very quickly.

“Austin and Conor both were invites to our player combine in Florida who showed really well among the group of pro players in attendance," Puerto Rico FC President Tom Payne said. "They both had excellent careers at UNCC and have earned their contracts at Puerto Rico FC.  We look forward to them starting their career with us and to being key members of our team in 2016."
