After more than 160 games, the NASL has finally reached its climax. The top two seeded teams will be vying to lift the Soccer Bowl trophy after reaching The Championship Final.

The New York Cosmos, who claimed the Spring Season title and finished atop the Combined Standings, defeated the Fort Lauderdale Strikers, 2-1, led by Marcos Senna and Raúl at MCU Park in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn, N.Y. on Saturday, Nov. 7. In the second semifinal, Ottawa Fury FC, who earned the Fall Season title, outlasted Minnesota United, 2-1, in extra time with Tom Heinemann scoring a brace.
