The Carolina RailHawks will host the San Antonio Scorpions at WakeMed Soccer Park on Saturday, July 18, at 7:30 pm ET.

“San Antonio is a good team and the current defending champions of our league,” RailHawks head coach Colin Clarke said. ”We feel it’s important to send a strong message. We are at home and we are looking to bounce back and get three points.”

The RailHawks (1W-1D-1L, 4 points) will be looking to bounce back from a hard-fought loss in their last match on the road against Indy Eleven. The squad had a dominant first half and got on the scoreboard first with a beautiful header from Austin da Luz. The RailHawks generated several chances in the second half but were unable to capitalize on their opportunities. Indy was able to score two goals in the final 45 minutes and ultimately won the match 2-1.

San Antonio (1W-1D-1L, 4 points) played a midweek fixture against FC Edmonton. After taking the lead twice, the Scorpions had to settle with a draw in the 2-2 affair. After a win and a draw, though, San Antonio is finding its best form and will look to carry that on the road to Carolina on Saturday.
