The Jacksonville Armada FC  announced Tuesday the signings of Sebastian Evers, Nicolas Perea,  Ramak Safi, and Tyler Williams ahead of the 2015 North American Soccer League (NASL) season.

All four players have Florida roots and join defender Nurdin Hrustic, forward Tommy Krizanovic, midfielder Pascal Millien, defender Joseph Toby, and midfielder Nico Zaldana as the Armada FC’s Sunshine State connection.

"Our four latest signings have worked very hard to earn the right to call themselves Armada FC players," said general manager Dario Sala. "We expect all of them to stand out on the pitch when they get their opportunities to contribute."

Perea, 23, a Colombian midfielder, who grew up in Hollywood, Fla., comes to the Armada FC from Syracuse University. As a four-year starter at Syracuse, Perea racked up 10 goals and was named the Orange’s Rookie of the Year in 2011 in addition to being named to the all-tournament team at the Mayor’s Cup in 2012.

Evers, a 24-year-old goalkeeper, joins the club after four years at the University of Central Florida. His laurels included helping tie the school’s record of a nine-match unbeaten streak and being named American Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Week in October 2013. Prior to his college career, he trained in England with Cardiff City and Bristol City in summer 2010.

Safi, 31, a native of Urmia, Iran, relocated to Jacksonville in 2001. The midfielder previously played alongside Krizanovic at Jacksonville University and Jacksonville United FC, helping lead the squad to a 2011 NPSL Championship before training with the Armada FC’s Development Squad in August 2014.

Safi also coached at the youth level in various clubs in Jacksonville, including recently announced Armada FC partners, Jacksonville FC.

Williams, a 25-year-old forward who hails from Tallahassee, Fla., also played  with Safi and Krizanovic at Jacksonville United FC. Prior to his professional career, Williams split his NCAA Division I college career between Clemson and Jacksonville University.
