Jacksonville Armada FC Kicks Off Business Alliance
Nov 21, 2014

The NASL's Jacksonville Armada FC kicked off its stirring new Business Alliance this week with the support of numerous local businesses.

The event introduced several new opportunities for local businesses to enjoy exciting, once-in-a-lifetime corporate soccer experiences while building professional networks in the Northeast Florida region and exposing their brands and businesses to the growing soccer community.

Catered by 927 Events, the event allowed attendees the chance to meet and hear from Armada FC owner Mark Frisch, JAX Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Daniel Davis and Armada FC President Steve Livingstone.

Following a cocktail hour and an introduction from Voice of the Armada FC Cole Pepper, Frisch, Davis and Livingstone took to the podium to outline the program and club’s potential to be a significant contributor to economic growth in the region.

Local companies and businesses of any size can join Armada Alliance simply by becoming season ticket owners with the club. Membership allows introduction to numerous Business Alliance events, opportunities to entertain clients and reward employees as well as be featured on the Armada’s new Online Rewards website which has a specific section dedicated to Business Alliance members.

Key Auto Company representative Gayla Poythress sees the new alliance as a prime opportunity for local businesses to unite in a common love for the game of soccer while taking advantage of the benefits being an Armada Business Alliance member brings.

"We have been looking forward to something like this from the Armada FC," she said. "I think this is a great opportunity to connect with other businesses who have the same goals as well as capitalize on what the Armada FC has to offer Jacksonville. This is just such a phenomenal opportunity."

Hurricane Coffee and Tea representative Jason Hensley sees a strategic alliance with the club as an essential part of his company’s growth.

"We are excited about the Armada Business Alliance because we are a growing company ourselves," he said. "We have made it into Bed, Bath and Beyond and some other big box stores are looking into us, so we are really growing the brand. The Armada FC is a very cool movement in the community, and we are excited to be part of it."
