The NASL Team of the Week is selected based on performances each weekend and features the best XI players in their respective positions.

Here is this week’s Best XI:

Goalkeeper

Romuald Peiser, Ottawa Fury FC – French native made six clutch saves in the 2-2 draw against Carolina

 

Defenders

Adrian Cann, San Antonio Scorpions – Canadian international was in control of the backline to preserve the shutout victory against Edmonton

Carlos Mendes, New York Cosmos – Had another stellar performance on defense and assisted on the game-winner over Fort Lauderdale

Fejiro Okiomah, Indy Eleven – Was solid on the Indy backline against Atlanta

Kevin Venegas, Minnesota United FC – Excelled defensively throughout the game, while also pressing on offense

 

Midfielders

Rafael Castillo, San Antonio Scorpions – Colombian scored the game-winner and added an assist against Edmonton

Cesar Elizondo, San Antonio Scorpions – Costa Rican international controlled the midfield attack and assisted on the winning tally

Tiyi Shipalane, Carolina RailHawks – South African was a strong influence on the offense and scored in the draw against Ottawa

 

Forwards

Georgi Hristov, Tampa Bay Rowdies – Bulgarian’s sixth NASL goal leveled the match against Minnesota

Jermaine Johnson, Indy Eleven – Jamaican international moved up front and scored his second goal in as many weeks in the victory over Atlanta

Danny Mwanga, New York Cosmos – Congo DR native had the game-winner against Fort Lauderdale
