Soccer
Blast in Birmingham is now SportsBlast and still has a
year round indoor season.
They
make special accommodations for the Huntsville, Ft. Payne and Decatur teams. Games are every other week with (2) games on the day that you play. This means only (4) days of travel to get (8) games. Best of all; the weather is perfect (warm!), there is no chance of rain (it's indoors), the fields are cut and lined perfectly every week, the referees are present, PLUS - there are clean restrooms and a cafe 25 feet from the bleachers. With TV's and a cool sound system, "It doesn't get any better than this!"

The AYSO
indoor recreational league in Madison which plays in the
school gyms in Madison, Alabama will start their indoor winter
league soon. Their website is at http://www.madisonrecreation.org/AYSO/
Region 498 Winter soccer will be played on 7 weekends in 2003
starting Jan-4 through Feb-22. (skipping Jan 17 & 18)
Indoor soccer is very different. The
play is fast-paced, the ball rarely goes out of play (it bounces
off the wall), all teams have boys and girls, and they get
substituted in and out while the game plays.
Indoor soccer does not require teams to
practice. The indoor rules are simple, the game is easy to learn
and is geared more towards having fun rather than
competitiveness.
U6 & U8 play on Sundays from 1:00p to 3:30p
at Liberty Middle and West Madison Elementary schools. U10-U19
play on Saturdays at Liberty Middle School.
It's fast, it's fun, and the best part, no rain or snow ever
gets on the field! The program is setup for U6 through U19. The
cost is only $15 for returning Fall Season players ($25 new
players). So get those kids out of the house this Winter and
bring them here for a great workout. Hurry, registration is
limited to 400 players due to limited indoor fields.
You can join the
Madison AYSO Mailing List by sending an email message to madison.ayso-subscribe@topica.com |
