Amir Lowery returns to the RailHawks after one season with the Montreal Impact.  Lowery was drafted by the Colorado Rapids in the third round of the 2005 MLS SuperDraft.  After his time in Colorado, Lowery played for the Kansas City Wizards and San Jose Earthquakes prior to joining the RailHawks in 2009.  Lowery played two great seasons with the RailHawks, making 54 appearances and scoring two goals.

Lowery played his collegiate soccer at Wake Forest University from 2001-2004, where he became one of the top defenders in the ACC.  During his four year career, Lowery appeared in 74 matches and started 62 consecutive matches in his final three seasons with the Demon Deacons.
