All Managers
The ASA Board of Directors approved a new procedure for Coaching
Passes effective this Spring season. It relates only to those
coaches with a "D" certification & higher. DOC
passes will no longer be issued.
All
coaches who meet the required criteria of Division I coaching
license (level "D" or higher) will receive a coaches
pass which will allow them to coach any team within their
club without being on the roster. All club registrars will
issue a list of the coaches eligible for this pass to the
state office. There is no need for managers to contact us
for this information. Coaches will be responsible for these
passes as they will need to have it in their possession
to be on the bench of any team within their club. Coaches
who do not meet the requirement for the coaches pass will
use or be issued a standard coaches card for their team
specific.
With this new pass comes a limit to the number of coaches/managers/trainers
that can now be on the sidelines. There shall be no more
than 4 club or team officials (defined as directors of coaching,
coaches bearing the appropriate license level as established
by AYSA, and team managers who appear on the team roster)
may be present in the bench area at any given time during
matches played at the Division I, II, or III level.
This procedure should help everyone.
