  • Early Check-In for Governor's Cup will be held at Sports Blast

    • Wed, October 22 from 6:15PM to 8:30PM
    • Thurs., October 23 from 11:30 AM until 1:30PM
       
  • Regular Check-In will be held at the Indoor facility at the Montgomery YMCA fields on Friday Oct 24th from 4PM to 8PM.
     

  • BRING: Player cards (don't have to be laminated), medical release forms (do not have to be notarized), and two (2) copies of your roster that has been signed by your club registrar.
     

  • COACHES MEETING: MANDATORY - Friday Oct 24th in Montgomery at the Indoor facility

    • U11 and younger at 8:30 PM
    • U12 and older at 9:00 PM
       
  • There will be a parking fee of $5.00 for the weekend. Each team will be given 2 free passes (for the coach and manager).

  • Please note that the roster freeze date for the 2003 Governors Cup is October 3rd, 2003.
     

  • Deadline for teams entering the 2003 Chevy Governor’s Cup is September 26th, 2003
    • U-10 - $250
    • U-11/12 - $300
    • U13 & Older - $350
       
  • This tournament is open to all Division III teams only. This tournament is held at the YMCA fields in Montgomery, Alabama. Players must be registered with AYSA. Scheduling information must be sent to the referee assigner one week after the tournament application deadline date.





Definition of Divisions within the Governors Cup:

  • U14-U19 Div II teams are those teams that are currently playing within the state league.

  • U14-U19 Div III teams are those that are participating in a local league and also those teams who are registered with the Alabama Youth Soccer Association and are not playing in a league structure.

  • U11-13 Div II Gold teams are those teams playing in the State League

  • Division II that are seeking the highest challenge in entering the Governors Cup.

  • U11-13 Div II Silver teams are those teams that are emerging competitively within the State League and are seeking suitable competition in the Governors Cup

  • U11-13 Div III is comprised of teams that are playing in an official AYSA league or are registered AYSA teams that are seeking an opportunity to play in Governors Cup competition.

  • U10 Competitive teams are those teams that were picked through evaluation or trial for the purposes of or to facilitate team registration. This division is open to tournament and all-star teams chosen from their own intramural league that has been picked for this event. All-star teams may not by chosen from interclub leagues. (i.e.. Midstate, NASL etc.)

  • U10 Recreation teams are those teams that are playing intramural games or those teams that are in an interclub league that are not playing at the highest competitive level.
