FC Edmonton announce today the club’s 2014 pre-season training plans and pre-season game schedule ahead of the club’s campaign in the North American Soccer League (NASL).
The team will kick-off preseason training in Edmonton at the Commonwealth Recreation Centre (CRC) starting Monday morning, February 17. The team will continue to train at the CRC five days a week for the remainder of February and into the middle of March.
The Eddies will then take off for a greener climate on March 17 as they head to Langley, British Columbia to continue their preseason conditioning until April 5.
“It’s important for us to be able to train outdoors in preseason,” said FCE head coach Colin Miller. “With great support from our owners, Tom and Dave Fath, we are all looking forward to not only starting our preseason, but also to head out west to get the lads some games and see the team shape up for the season.”
While in BC, FC Edmonton will play five preseason friendlies against local competition. Starting off, the Eddies will play Trinity Western University, then Simon Fraser University followed by University of Fraser Valley and then the University of British Columbia. The club will wrap up it’s preseason campaign against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on April 1.
