Ottawa Fury FC Scheduled To Break NASL Attendance Record On Sunday

Ottawa Fury FC announced that advanced sales for Sunday's home opener at TD Place against the New York Cosmos have already surpassed the NASL’s all-time single game attendance record in the modern era. Set in 2012, the San Antonio Scorpions were the record holders with 13,151 at Heroes Stadium in a game against the Puerto Rico Islanders.

"Our aim was always to break the attendance record," said Fury FC President and OSEG Partner John Pugh. "We're grateful to our fans and the community for their support and thrilled that they will be there to make history with us on Sunday."

"The dramatic new south stands, with their iconic wooden veil, incredible sight lines, free wi-fi access throughout the stadium, high definition scoreboard, innovative food and beverage offerings and state of the art turf field will guarantee our fans a terrific game day experience at TD Place," Pugh added.

"Professional soccer has finally and truly arrived in Ottawa and we're excited to showcase our new home and our team in Sunday's home opener."
