Ottawa Fury FC Add Goalkeeper Devala Gorrick

The NASL's Ottawa Fury FC announced the signing of goalkeeper Devala Gorrick pending international transfer. Gorrick, who played three seasons in the Thai Premier League, joins the first-year NASL club after spending 2013 with Swedish First Division club IK Frej. Gorrick was also a trialist at training camp over the last two weeks.

“I'm very thrilled and honored to be a part of the inaugural year for Fury FC. The club has big plans and I look forward to helping the club achieve its greatest potential,” said Devala Gorrick. “We have a great group of talented players and with Marc as the coach and the quality staff around him I predict an exciting and high quality year of football from Fury FC.”

Devala Gorrick, 26, is a 6’3 goalkeeper that has played in the United States, Puerto Rico, Thailand and most recently in Sweden. “Devala is a goalkeeper who spent the last few years outside North America. He wants to succeed in this market and we believe he will bring some experience to our young goalkeepers,” said Fury FC Head Coach Marc Dos Santos. “We are very confident with the three names that will defend our goal.”

Born in Moundesville, WV, Gorrick was raised in Gainesville, FL where he launched his career with Ajax Orlando Prospects an affiliate of Dutch soccer giants Ajax.
