PURPOSE:
We have used the NASL e-mail list successfully in the past to send out
information on teams, clubs, tournaments, events, coaching clinics,
schedules, try-outs, referee information and other information pertinent
to the North Alabama Soccer League. It is by far the easiest method
to contact everyone quickly.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
During the fall and spring seasons you can expect one to ten e-mails a
month with game schedules, results, registration information,
announcements, etc.. After
the season you will probably get about one e-mail a month with information
on NASL events and articles about soccer in general.
HOW DO I SIGN-UP?
Fill out the form below and submit it by clicking on the button. You
can expect to receive an e-mail in one to four weeks depending on the time
of year.
WHAT IF I AM ALREADY ON THE NASL E-MAIL
LIST?
The old e-mail list has been accumulated over a period of several
years and has grown to a large size and includes lots of old e-mail
addresses and information that is out of date. People who have moved or
are no longer involved in the North Alabama Soccer League are still on the
list. This will provide a chance to clean up that list and bring it
up to date. You may also provide changes to your current e-mail address
and phone numbers by using this form.
WHAT IF I DON'T RECEIVE ANY NEWSLETTERS?
There are a number of reasons that you might not receive the
newsletters. Mistakes are often made when e-mail addresses are typed in. If
we send out a newsletter or notice and your e-mail is rejected twice, your
name and address are removed from the e-mail list.
This is to keep the list as current as possible.
Also if you are
using a free web-based e-mail account such as yahoo or hotmail, those types of
accounts are notoriously bad about not delivering some mail. Also
the size limit on the free e-mail accounts means they fill up quickly and
mail is rejected because your mailbox is full.
Whenever possible use your regular e-mail account for
NASL purposes. Your e-mail will only be used by NASL to send you
information on NASL games and events and the newsletters. We do NOT
share this information with anyone else. We do NOT sell or otherwise profit from this list.
When mail is sent out to the list, your name and address are hidden from
anyone else who also receives the same e-mail which means that mass
e-mailers can not sign up for this e-mail list with the express purpose of
stealing your addresses from the e-mails and spamming you.
If you have not been receiving
your e-mail it probably means you have been removed from the list for one
reason or another - usually caused by a rejected e-mail. To get your e-mail, just sign up below again.
DO I NEED TO PROVIDE MY PHONE NUMBERS?
No, only include your phone numbers if they need to be listed on any NASL
web pages as contact points. For example, if you are a team manager or
coach you will want to provide phone numbers so that you can be contacted
by other coaches, managers or officials.
PRIVACY - NO SPAMMING POLICY:
These e-mail lists remain confidential and this
information will never be sold or used for any purpose other than to provide
soccer related information. We do not share this information with anyone
else. We do not sell or otherwise profit from this list.

Any replies to the NASL list come to me
only - not to the list - because I conceal the addresses of everyone who
signs up for the NASL List.
You can send me announcements you want
sent out to the list - BUT I try to be really particular about what goes
out because the biggest reason people quit the NASL list is either too
much volume of mail from us or because they think someone got hold of
their e-mail address and used it for commercial or political purposes
- selling products, pushing soccer camps, personal agendas, etc.
I turn down about 80% of the stuff people ask me to send out. I figure
that's my job and hopefully everyone understands the reasons it's done
that way.
Our agreement states that
when people sign up for the NASL List at
http://www.nasl.com/Email.htm that we won't spam them.
If an announcement is really important and timely I'll
send it out immediately. If it doesn't need to go out
immediately then it will be posted on the website.
