Defender Marko Aleksic is currently entering his fourth season with FC Edmonton. Born in Belgrade, Serbia, Aleksic came to Canada and specifically, Edmonton when he was just five years-old. Under the guidance of his father, the centre-back began playing soccer with Inter at the age of 10. After impressing at the youth levels, Aleksic joined FC Edmonton’s Academy when he entered high school. Playing well with the FCE Academy for the next three years, Aleksic earned his spot in the FC Edmonton first team and his first professional soccer contract at 17.
