ON THE FIELD
Lawson played collegiate soccer at Trinity University and was named Conference Tournament Offensive MVP during his sophomore and senior years, SCAC All-First team and All-Region team during his junior and senior years, and also SCAC Offensive Player of the Year his senior year. He also played one season with Corinthians FC SA and scored 10 goals in 13 games. Johnny began a trial with the Scorpions at the beginning of 2015 and on July 22, 2015, he officially signed his first professional contract to become a member of the Scorpions.
OFF THE FIELD
Lawson enjoys watching soccer in his free time. He keeps up with the Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga, La Liga, and MLS. He also enjoys going to the river, going to festivals, being outdoors, and occasionally relaxing at home and watching some TV.
