Fontein joined Minnesota in 2014 after spending two seasons with NASL rivals Tampa Bay Rowdies. He made four appearances with Tampa Bay, and has been the backup for Untied four times as well.
Career
2014: Featured as a backup for Minnesota in four matches.
2012-2013: Fontein signed with the Tampa Bay Rowdies in March 2012. He didn't make an appearance until the 2013 season where he played 270 minutes for Tampa Bay, making three starts in four appearances.
2008-2011: Was the starting goalkeeper for UC-Irvine for all four years he attended. He was named Big West Goalie of the Year twice druing his college career and was named to the College Soccer News National Team twice as well.
