TEAM OF THE WEEK | Fall Season Week 10

North Carolina's Renan Gorne, New York's Javi Márquez, and San Francisco's Kenny Teijsse led the way in Week 10

North Carolina FC  put on a tremndous attacking dispaly and forward Renan Gorne was at the heart of it with a pair of goals and an assist in a victory that earned three vital points in the push for the postseason. The New York Cosmos and San Francisco Deltas also earned crucial victories with Javi Márquez and Kenny Teijsse getting on the scoresheet.

The full Team of the Week from Week 10 is below: 

GK: Romuald Peiser (San Francisco Deltas) – The veteran goalkeeper made four saves and kept a clean sheet in the Deltas’ 1-0 win over FC Edmonton.

DEF: Kenny Teijsse (San Francisco Deltas) – The defender scored the lone goal with a header in San Francisco’s victory. He also won nine duels and won all three of his tackles.

DEF: Kareem Moses (North Carolina FC) – He had the assist on the opening goal and defensively won four duels and both of his tackles. He also made three clearances in North Carolina’s 5-0 win over Indy Eleven.

DEF: Jimmy Mulligan (New York Cosmos) – The defender won seven duels as well as all five of his tackle attempts. He also made three clearances in New York’s 1-0 win over Puerto Rico FC.

MID: Austin da Luz (North Carolina FC) – The midfielder had an assist in the contest and also made three interceptions as well as winning six duels in the victory.

MID: Javi Márquez (New York Cosmos) – The veteran midfielder scored the game’s lone goal to lift New York to victory. He also won eight duels and all four of his tackles.

MID: Nazmi Albadawi (North Carolina FC) – North Carolina’s captain scored a superb solo goal and drew the penalty, which led to another goal.

MID: Kyle Bekker (San Francisco Deltas) – The Canadian international picked up the assist on the game-winning goal and was active all game long, creating three overall chances.

MID: Andrés Flores (New York Cosmos) – The Salvadoran international picked up the assist in the win for the Cosmos. The midfielder also won seven duels and won three tackles.

FWD: Renan Gorne (North Carolina FC) – The Brazilian youngster scored a pair of goals and assisted another in North Carolina’s victory. He also earned Player of the Week honors.

FWD: Stéfano Pinho (Miami FC) – He added to his league-leading total, scoring his 13th goal of the year to send Miami to a 1-0 win over Jacksonville Armada FC.
