TEAM OF THE WEEK | Fall Season Week 7

Miami's Jaime Chávez and North Carolina's Renan Gorne headlined the latest Team of the Week

Week 7 of the Fall Season was punctuated by goals as three teams scored three goals during the recent round of action. Miami FC forward Jaime Chávez found the back of the net three times, while North Carolina FC forward Renan Gorne contributed to two of his club's three goals during the weekend.

GK: Brian Sylvestre (North Carolina FC) – The young goalkeeper made three saves and earned a clean sheet in North Carolina’s 3-0 win against FC Edmonton.

DEF: Blake Smith (Miami FC) – The fullback won five duels and had five clearances. He also had an assist on the club’s third goal in the wild 3-3 draw with the New York Cosmos.

DEF: Kareem Moses (North Carolina FC) – He won six duels and two tackles as well as making seven interceptions in the club’s road win.

DEF: Connor Tobin (North Carolina FC) – The center back made eight clearances with three interceptions and won a pair of duels in North Carolina’s victory.  

DEF: Ayoze (New York Cosmos) – He had the assist on the game-tying goal for the Cosmos in a midweek contest against Miami.

MID: Nazmi Albadawi (North Carolina FC) – The North Carolina captain created two chances, but made a key impact in the club’s win with the opening goal.

MID: Javi Márquez (New York Cosmos) – The veteran midfielder had an assist as well as the game-tying goal for New York.

MID: Steven Miller (North Carolina FC) – He capped off North Carolina’s commanding performance against FC Edmonton with the third goal in the victory. He also won six duels and three tackles as well as making two interceptions.

FWD: Jaime Chávez (Miami FC) –The veteran forward scored three times in Miami’s draw. He was also named Player of the Week for his three-goal effort.

FWD: Renan Gorne (North Carolina FC) – The forward had the assist on the club’s opening goal and went on to score the second goal in the game in North Carolina’s win.

FWD: Pablo Vranjicán (New York Cosmos) – He scored the Cosmos’ second goal in the draw with Miami.
