Indy Eleven played to another draw, despite lots of pressure on the FC Edmonton back line. Defender Abdoulaye Diakité put in a yeoman's effort to make sure the Eddies didn't concede, clearing danger at an impressive rate in the scoreless affair. In terms of putting pressure on back lines, though, no team has done that better than Miami FC so far.

Continue below for some key stats heading into Week 8:

Two-For-Two

The San Francisco Deltas have recorded two wins so far this year. The club’s first league win came against North Carolina FC in the 3-1 victory at Kezar Stadium in Week 2. Last weekend, the Deltas earned their second win of the year and first on the road. That win also came against North Carolina FC, grabbing a 2-1 result at Sahlen’s Stadium. The Deltas are also unbeaten on the road after three games and now head north to take on FC Edmonton in Week 8.

In The Clear

Last year’s NASL Young Player of the Year Abdoulaye Diakité was crucial in FC Edmonton earning a scoreless draw against Indy Eleven last weekend. It was the club’s first clean sheet of the year. Diakité made a total of 17 clearances, which is the most in a game from 2016 to now. The strong, tall center back racked up 15 clearances in a game last year, tied for the third highest total overall in that same stretch. In the draw, FC Edmonton made 41 clearances, tied for the most by a team in a single game in 2017. San Francisco made 41 in the club’s home win over North Carolina FC.

Forward Thinking

North Carolina midfielder Nazmi Albadwi has played the most passes ending in the final third (135) through Week 7 as the club has scored the second most goals in the league (8). Miami FC’s attack has been the most active and successful thus far. The club has scored the most goals (9), which is reflected in the amount of time the club has spent in good attacking positions. The club has four of the top-six players in most passes into the final third – Richie Ryan (119), Michael Lahoud (116), Dylan Mares (115), and Kwadwo Poku (110). Miami also has 939 total passes ending in the final third, most in the league.
