Jacksonville Armada FC finds itself atop the standings through Week 3 of the Spring Season and midfielder's Nicklas Maripuu ability to keep possession is playing a big role. Around the league, Miami FC has proven to be one of the most dangerous attacks, creating goalscoring chances with regularity.

Here's some key stats heading into Week 4:

Creating Chances

Miami has created the most chances in the league with 37, 10 more than the next side. Indy Eleven and Puerto Rico FC have both created 27 chances, while Puerto Rican international Pito Ramos leads the league through the first three weeks with 10 chances created for Puerto Rico FC.

Miami created a whopping 17 chances in Week 3 against the New York Cosmos, but the club was unable to convert, falling, 2-0, in its home opener at Riccardo Silva Stadium. Kwadwo Poku has created eight chances, while Dylan Mares has created seven of his own to start the year.

Passing Clinic

Jacksonville’s Nicklas Maripuu has helped control the midfield during Armada FC’s pair of wins, fitting in well with coach Mark Lowry’s possession-based style. The midfielder is in his first full season with the club and has completed 90.91 percent of his passes during the pair of wins, completing 70 of his 77 passes so far. In the club’s first win of the year, the midfielder finished with a 95.74 percent (45 of 47 passes) accuracy.

Clearing The Lines

The San Francisco Deltas claimed their first league win, knocking off North Carolina FC, 3-1. While Tom Heinemann’s goals led the way, Nana Attakora had an impressive performance at the back. He made a total of 13 clearances to help the side earn all three points. Also in Week 3, Puerto Rico FC captain Cristiano Dias made 10, while Aaron Pitchkolan had eight.

Overall, Attakora leads with 16 and Dias right behind him (15) with Pitchkolan at 13.. As a team, the Deltas have the most with 68.

Enjoying The Road

NASL matches have been incredibly competitive with five draws so far. When wins have come so far, it’s been the away teams with better records. The Cosmos, Miami FC, and Jacksonville each have a road win in 2017 so far. Only Jacksonville and the Deltas have earned home wins through the first three weeks. Jacksonville, of course, has won both of its contests this year.
