Puerto Rico FC has announced the signing of Puerto Rican National Team member and former MLS SuperDraft pick Mike Ramos.
“We are very happy to have a promising young player like Mike Ramos join the club," said PRFC President Tom Payne. "He's someone who knows what it means to represent the Island and how important that is to our fans. For all of us at PRFC, it means a lot to add a fourth Puerto Rican international, and continuing to contribute to the development of the sport in the Island is a big focus of ours.”
Ramos made his debut with the Puerto Rican National Team in 2016 when he played in friendlies against the Dominican Republic and India, as well as a Caribbean Cup match against Curacao, in which he scored a spectacular goal.
In 2015, Ramos was a third-round draft pick of Toronto FC, and later moved on to PDL side Kitsap Pumas, for whom he scored three goals in 11 appearances. He had a brief loan stint with Seattle Sounders 2 after that.
