What is it like to be a professional soccer player in San Francisco? On the second day on the West Coast, Deltas players gave a sneak peek into what it means to live and play in the city.
Coffee And Views
Goalkeeper Steward Ceus, who lives in the same apartment complex as several Deltas players, took us up to the roof, bright and early, to see a spectacular view of the Bay Bridge and Transamerica Pyramaid.
To start the day, Steward likes to grab a cup of coffee on the roof and forsees some additions of chairs to make it even more of a hangout spot.

Work Commute
Deltas players head to training on a time-honored tradition in San Francisco: riding the trolley. Tyler Gibson, Pablo Dyego, and Andrew Lubahns showed the route to work, starting with the trolley before eventually taking the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit). During the trip, we bumped into fellow Deltas player, Cristian Portilla.
The ride provides an instant connection to the city, while also helping the club's players bond during their morning commute.

On The Field
The club trained at Beach Chalet in a session that was sunny as well as rainy during the day. Coach Marc Dos Santos led an energetic and competitive training session. While the Deltas might be heading into their first season in the NASL, they have a squad of hungry players that are ready to compete. Forward Tom Heinemann was excited by the level of talent around the league and how that will translate once the season gets rolling.
