After an unexpected warm and sunny day yesterday, the weather was much more to expectation. Snow fell throughout the day, not to mention the cold. The latter part of the day was used to take in the city with Dustin Corea after the club had a gym session at the University of Alberta.
Winter City
First off, big shoutout to Dustin for braving the weather. With temperatures around 46 degrees, and feeling much colder, Dustin played tour guide as we went to Churchill Square, Whyte Aveneue, and El Rancho, a local restaurant that Dustin frequents regularly.
During a meal of pupusas, Dustin talked about his Salvadoran roots, the passion of the nation's support, and getting the chance to play against many of his national-team teammates when the match against the New York Cosmos - who have Andrés Flores, Irvin Herrera, and Richard Menjivar - rolls around.

Gym Time In Edmonton
FC Edmonton used the morning to lift weights at the Skillman Centre at the University of Alberta - a tough place to find parking! - as the club's trip to Manchester draws near. Albert Watson, as you would expect if you've seen him play, utilized every minute, finishing up with launching a medicine ball and sprinting after it.
Also, during the gym session, several players sat down for interviews. One of the newest Eddies, Dean Shiels, discussed his time with Rangers FC in Scotland and playing in the Old Firm Derby.
