Defender Andrew Lubahn and goalkeeper Alex Mangels are the latest players to sign with the San Francisco Deltas. With a little more than a month remaining until the start of the regular season, the Deltas have 21 signed players heading into opening night against Indy Eleven on March 25 at Kezar Stadium in Golden Gate Park.

Lubahn, 25, comes to San Francisco following a season with Louisville City FC. He appeared in 29 total matches for the club, scoring a trio of goals for the USL side. He had a stellar collegiate career at Wake Forest, where he currently sits ninth in school history with 27 career goals. A two-time All-ACC honoree, he tied a single-season school record with 10 goals as a freshman.

Lubahn saw time with the U-14, U-15, U-18, and U-20 U.S. national teams and won the U-19 National Championship with the Columbus Crew. He also trained with Cercle Brugge of the Jupiler Pro League in Belgium and was also the leading scorer while playing with Cercle Brugge’s amateur team.

"Andrew has shown great qualities during training camp," Deltas coach Marc Dos Santos said. "His versatility will provide our team with considerable depth."

Mangels, 23, grew up in Lafayette, Calif., played four seasons at Cal-Berkeley, and now returns to the Bay Area as a professional. At Cal, Mangels started 21 of his 26 appearances over four seasons (2012–2015), posting a 1.74 goals against average, a .664 save percentage and four shutouts.

Mangels played for the Tulsa Roughnecks of the USL in 2016. In his debut on March 26, 2016, he made 12 saves in a shutout victory.

"Alex earned his spot on the team," Dos Santos said. "He's always ready to play at any moment and he has great potential.'
