The North American Soccer League (NASL) will make its debut on CBS Sports Network this Saturday at 9 p.m. ET when Rayo OKC hosts FC Edmonton at Miller Stadium.
Saturday's clash in Oklahoma City will be the first of 12 NASL Fall Season games to exclusively air on the network this year. With the new national television partnership, CBS Sports Network is adding a professional soccer league to its programming portfolio for the first time.
"We couldn't be more thrilled to join forces with CBS Sports Network," said NASL Commissioner Bill Peterson. "This partnership will focus on bringing our incredible competition, and the stories that accompany it, to tens of millions of homes each week. This is the beginning of something great."
FC Edmonton travels to Oklahoma City on the heels of a strong Spring Season that produced a third-place finish. The Eddies finished just one point shy of Indy Eleven's Spring Season Championship-winning total of 18 points, posting a record of 5W-2D-3L over 10 games.
Despite finishing in seventh place out of 11 clubs in the Spring Season, Rayo OKC ended on a high note in early June, beating title contender Minnesota United FC at home before claiming an impressive point on the road in Ottawa.
Saturday's matchup represents a fresh start for both sides, as the 22-game Fall Season opens up with three postseason spots still up for grabs.
Mark Rodgers and Todd Lisenbee will be on the call from Miller Stadium, bringing you live coverage on CBS Sports Network starting at 9 p.m. ET.
